LOUISVILLE, KY – The Shively Police Department is investigating a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 264 Saturday evening that left two people dead, WHAS reports.
Police officers responded to the scene on I-264 east near Dixie Highway shortly before 7 p.m. Three vehicles were involved in the wreck, and two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
They were identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as 64-year-old Annette Mitchell and 44-year-old Eddie Robertson. There were no immediate reports of any other injuries, and no details were available on what led to the accident.
Lanes were shut down on I-264 for several hours while the crash scene was being cleared and investigated.
