CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY – A fiery car accident in Calloway County Wednesday morning left a driver dead.
According to KFVS, Kentucky State Police responded to the scene on West State Line Road after the incident was reported shortly before 7 a.m.
An initial investigation determined that 27-year-old Megan Cossey was driving westbound in a Kia Soul when she drove off the roadway and crashed into a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
Cossey, a resident of Murray, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kentucky State Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
