FLORENCE, KY – A collision between two vehicles left four people injured and slowed traffic on Interstate 75 Friday, according to WLWT.
Police said a car rear-ended a box truck on I-75 south near the 182 mile marker in Florence at about 4:30 p.m. The impact sent the truck into a concrete median, causing it to overturn.
A passenger in the truck was thrown from the vehicle and was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where they were listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the truck and the driver and passenger in the car sustained minor injuries and were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital.
The southbound lanes of I-75 were shut down near the scene for several hours for the crash investigation and cleanup.
Florence Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
