COX CREEK, KY – A Bardstown woman was killed and a man was seriously injured after a head-on crash in Cox Creek on Saturday.
According to WDRB, the incident occurred as Christopher Hamilton attempted to pass another vehicle in the no-passing zone near Louisville Road and Heritage Drive. His vehilce slammed head-on into an oncoming vehicle, driven by Betty Odom.
Odom was pronounced dead at the crash site. Hamilton was rushed to Flaget Memorial Hospital and subsequently taken to UofL Hospital for further treatment.
Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the fatal crash. It is unclear at this time if any charges will be filed.
