MUNFORDVILLE, KY – Authorities said a driver died after his car rear-ended a semi trailer on a highway in Hart County Sunday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police issued a news release on the incident that occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 just north of Munfordville at about 1 p.m.
According to state troopers from Post 3, 28-year-old Martin Mutabazi of Bowling Green was driving a Hyundai Elantra north on I-65 when he hit the back of an International semi-truck and trailer driven by 48-year-old Abdinasir Adan of Barron, Wisconsin. Mutabazi was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kentucky State Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
