LOUISVILLE, KY – Police in Louisville said a driver was killed when her car was involved in a crash on Interstate 264 east near Taylor Boulevard on Saturday night.
According to WAVE, investigators said a woman driving a Chevy Cruze on I-264 at about 9:30 p.m. lost control of her vehicle after it was hit from behind by another vehicle going at high speed.
The Cruze went off the road and down an embankment, causing the driver to be ejected. She was pronounced dead after being transported to the University of Louisville Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle ended up crashing into a concrete barrier on I-264. No details were released on that person’s condition.
The wreck is under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department Traffic Unit.
