HENDERSON, KY – Authorities in Henderson County said a minivan and a pickup truck were involved in a fatal collision on Tuesday morning.

According to The Gleaner, the wreck took place at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Kentucky 1078 at about 8:15 a.m. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said 61-year-old Loretta Duncan was driving south on Kentucky 1078 in a Chrysler minivan when she attempted to turn left onto U.S. 60.  Investigators said Duncan did not see a Ford F-250 pickup going west on U.S. 60 and entered the truck’s path, resulting in a crash.

Duncan was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 68-year-old Ernest Duncan, was hospitalized but no details were released on his condition. The pickup driver was not injured in the accident.
