LOUISVILLE, KY – Police are investigating a crash that killed two people on the Clark Memorial Bridge in Louisville Saturday, reports WAVE3.
Police said two cars that were headed north crashed shortly before 5 p.m. A man who was driving one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman in his car died after being transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
According to police, the driver of the other car fled the scene before officers arrived. A woman who was a passenger in that vehicle remained at the scene. The woman was not injured.
The bridge was shut down in both directions as the Louisville Police Department’s Traffic Unit investigated the accident.
