PIKE COUNTY, KY – One man died and another person was hospitalized following a major collision involving a semi-truck in Pike County on Monday.
According to WYMT, the incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. when 20-year-old Jacob Fitch lost control of his pickup near the Pike County Airport.
Fitch’s vehicle then slammed into a tractor-trailer on the northbound side of the roadway.
Fitch suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver in the tractor-trailer was transported to Pikeville Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
