LOUISVILLE, KY – Police said a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Louisville Friday morning.
According to WAVE, a man was hit by a car in the 3400 block of Newburg Road shortly after 7 a.m. The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver kept going after the crash without stopping to help, and is now being sought by Louisville Metro police.
A stretch of Newburg Road was shut down in the area for several hours during the crash investigation. Anyone with information regarding the car or the driver involved was asked to call the Louisville Metro Police Department Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
