LOUISVILLE, KY – A woman was arrested for allegedly driving drunk in a crash that injured her two children in Louisville Friday night, WDRB reports.
Police responded to the scene on Paradise Lane near Valley Station after the incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. They located an empty 2022 Kia with its air bags deployed.
Officers went to a nearby apartment and found 25-year-old Telesia Harris with her two children, ages 6 and 9. Police said Harris failed field sobriety tests and admitted she had been driving the vehicle with the children inside. Both children were transported to Norton Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Harris was transported to University of Louisville Hospital due to what police called her level of intoxication. She was subsequently arrested on several charges, including driving under the influence and wanton endangerment.
