BOONE CO., KY – A woman was killed and two other individuals were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on US-42 on Tuesday.
According to a report by WLWT, the crash took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. when 69-year-old Sue Brossart’s Ford Fusion crossed the canter line near Verona-Mudlick Road. The Ford then slammed head-on into an oncoming Toyota Highlander.
Brossart was rushed to St. Elizabeth hospital, where she died a short time later. Her 5-year-old passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was also hospitalized with minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Her two juvenile passengers were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
