LOUISVILLE, KY – A man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on I-64 in the Portland area early this morning.
According to a report by WLKY, the unidentified victim was hit after he stepped out into the eastbound lanes of the interstate, near the 22nd Street exit.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear why he was walking on the freeway at the time of the crash.
This is the second fatal pedestrian accident on I-64 in less than one week.
