GREENVILLE, KY – A driver died in a rollover crash on Kentucky Highway 181 in Muhlenberg County last Thursday, reports WEVV.
Kentucky State Police Post 2 responded to the scene on Kentucky 181 between State Route 890 and State Route 973 after the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Police said 51-year-old James R. Brown of Greenville was driving north in a 2002 Chevrolet pickup when he crossed over the roadway and drove off the western shoulder. Brown’s vehicle hit an embankment, went airborne, struck a utility pole and overturned.
Brown, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was ejected from the pickup. He was pronounced dead later after being transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
State troopers are investigating the cause of the wreck.
