LOUISVILLE, KY – A woman is facing charges in connection with a car accident that killed a couple in Louisville last week, WAVE reports.

According to an arrest report, 31-year-old Alyssha A. McFadden of Louisville was speeding as she drove a Toyota Camry west on Westport Road Nov. 20 shortly before 5 p.m. The Camry crashed into a Ford Edge that was turning from Ambridge Drive onto Westport Road.
Two people in the Edge, 82-year-old George Herbig and 76-year-old Margaret Herbig, sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
A Louisville police officer reported smelling the odor of alcohol on McFadden while interviewing her at the hospital. She was subsequently charged with two counts of murder and one count of operating a vehicle under the influence. Her blood-alcohol content was reported to have been .210.
