LOUISVILLE, KY – One man died after his SUV crashed in the northbound lanes of I-71 early Sunday morning.
According to a report by WAVE, 41-year-old Robert Thomas lost control of his SUV at about 3:30 a.m. near the exit to I-264.
Police say Thomas crashed into the rock wall before rolling over and catching fire in the roadway. He was found dead in the driver’s seat upon firefighters’ arrival at the scene.
All northbound lanes were closed until about 7 a.m.
