LOUISVILLE, KY – One man suffered fatal injuries as the result of a head-on collision involving a semi-truck in Louisville on Friday afternoon.
According to WDRB, the incident took place at about 2 p.m. within the 3100 block of Fern Valley Road, near the intersection with Ulrich Avenue.
Police say the driver of the semi-truck without the trailer attached was traveling west when it collided head-on with an eastbound passenger vehicle.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, an unidentified man, died at the scene. The truck driver was transported to Audubon Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
This portion of Fern Valley Road was shut down for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
